Title: Aust test squad for Bangladesh tour
Post by: dougydee on September 14, 2015, 04:13:33 AM
SQUAD: Steve Smith (c), Adam Voges (vc), Cameron Bancroft, Joe Burns, Patrick Cummins, Andrew Fekete, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Peter Nevill, Stephen O'Keefe, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc

Very different looking squad to the Ashes squad with retirements and injury. Interestingly Voges is VC when a number of people had moved him on from the test squad. I wonder if its due to the lack of senior players in the squad.

Maxwell.

Spent most of the summer in yorkshires second xi and is know in the aus test squad.

Does that show aus lack of depth? Or the awesomeness of the mighty Yorkshire???

I think they should persevere with him, he's a great talent. Bats, Bowls(Rolls the arm over) and Fields. Bit of a douche though.

In fairness to him, once he was properly fit and motivated he did play one rather special innings against Durham.  That was about it mind.

I think Maxwell is a fair punt as an allrounder in asia.

Aussie types. What do you think: Khawaja and Bancroft as openers - or Burns?

Bit of a douche though.
Then he fits right in with a lot of the squad! Lol!
What about old Cosgrove? When will he get a run?

Finch looked solid in the odi games surprised they haven't taken him along, believe he's had a few good knocks with Yorkshire aswell

Finch did have a injury during early season of IPL 2015, but good to see him in form.
