Moving club this year and don't want to spend the money or try to find one of the old masuris as I love my one to much have any of you lads tried dyeing you helmets before as I want to go from red to navy blue helmet give me your thoughts
Thanks

Just leave it red?
Will make the scorer's life easier if everyone else is using a blue one...

Yeah but look like a flog if the team colours are white yellow and blue or does anybody know how to make it white the blue

I would advise against it especially if you plan on applying it directly to the material while it is still on the helmet as it will leach. You would look the height of village if during a long innings it begins to drip off the helmet and on to your face with the heat. I would suggest-and I have seen this done- removing the fabric intact and then using its dimensions as a template from which to cut new cloth. You can do it yourself with a little practice or pay a tailor to do it for you. I do not envisage it would cost too much to do.

You can also play around with the colours and design as an added bonus.

My team colours are green, we are even nicknamed the greenarmy.
My last 3 helmets were.
Blue
Yellow
Maroon.
I'm not a stickler for fitting in. Just aslong as I'm comfy and protected!

Lol i wanted mine today to turn from navy to red! I tried spray painting the fabric with spray enamel but the red didnt really look red so yeah i would do what windyroad told you and take off the fabric and put a red one on. BTW does anyone know what type of cloth they use?
