Title: Bats shaved, clean, glued, scuffed, shoegoo and regripped for the 2016 season.
Post by: SteffanLangholz on October 01, 2015, 01:42:01 PM
Its been a few seasons since I last refurbed my bats. So when my season ended, I figured it was time.
From the left, my matchbat, the CA 15000 Limited edt (yes, the blade is quite a bit shorter than the others), Then my curiousity took over, the "Max Grainer" from Online Stockist, Then my secondary matchbat, a custom from Marlin Cricket in the UK, and finally my nets bat, a Puma Pulse 3000 from Meulmanns in Perth.

All of them weighs in at 2.8 - 2.10.

Compared to their respective prices, the max grainer was bought for £72, and goes like a rocket but looks like a slumdog. The CA also goes like a rocket, looks good (if you dont compare the size with other SH bats) but was a staggering £250 - which is steep. The marlin one has had the handle refittet since the original snapped after a week. Its not as good as the 2 prior, but has scored me around 500 runs before i got the CA. The puma needs work. The hammer pings off it nicely, but I seem to be unable to connect properly with it.
