When I joined this forum, I was perfectly happy with my old shape Newbury Mjolnir.
But after a while, I thought 'I've had this bat for 10 years. Time to treat myself to a new shape. It's scientific fact that I'll definitely hit more runs with it.'
And so a few hundred quid later, I had myself a lovely custom B3.
And a custom B3 net bat in the same shape.
Slowly and surely, the viral infection batticus musthavanutheris overwhelmed the body's defences.
Its latest manifestation has just resulted in a rather lovely Woodstock Tour de Force Players LE snaffled from a nice chap on ebay. (Anyone here...?)
It has ..."a large swell in the lower half of the blade and is very popular for all standards of cricketer. With contoured incurves and large edges great attention to detail is taken in the manufacturing process ensuring perfect balance."
I've always admired their classy 'less-is-more' branding, and since this model was 'The Don's pick' in The Cricketer back in 2012, well, it was rude not to...
Two down, many more to go. Damn virus.

That's a beauty.
-
Not a fan of Woodstock, but that is a lovely bat. :) Hope you get many runs with it!
-
That's a nice shape but the bat looks little too dry.
-
Like others, never been overly keen on Woodstock but that does look like a very nice bat!
And don't worry...I have been living with that condition for many years and it is manageable!
I tried every medical cure but there is not cure! The only thing that can slow down the infection (batticus musthavanutheris) is a condition know as emptypocketosis! It is considered a side affect of batticus musthavanutheris infection. But it is not too bad to live with and the emptypocketosis condition is temporary and improves after a few months!

Lovely bat there. Once a CBF member you cannot escape BMI ;)
We all have it , if that helps.
I don't see many Woodstock bats here but a coach in my area is big time Woodstock fan.

Manageable Pete??? An incurable addict speaks ;) :D

You wanna be careful you don't catch the forum paranoia where every bat that appears is 'oh yeah made in Sussex that one nudge nudge wink wink'
I mean some people on here need help, it's ridiculous.
Woodstock great bats made in a little fishing village in Cornwall

Are they? All the TalK is that they're made by someone else and stickers applied by Mr Woodstock.
Either way, the one I had a couple of seasons ago picked up well and pinged nicely. I wish I hadn't sold it to a teammate now...

A vaccine of emptypocketosis might well do the trick. BUT IT WON'T LAST.
And @amritpremi well spotted. It was indeed dry, but has since been treated to a coat of bat wax - after steaming out a few small dents.
Can't deny that whoever makes it, they know how to make a goodun'.
(I would like to know who the podshaver is, mind.)

How many billions of bats do you think he makes considering he's been linked to 2 companies other than his main brand in the last 2 days!

You're new around here, here's a few previous threads about Woodstock for you to get a better feel for the company ;)

So when you all go and say TK is making the bats for all the companies you really mean the companies buy part mades off him and finish them off themselves?
-
TK does have a brother too
-
thats one beauty of a bat..

TK does have a brother too
I think I am right when I say that TK has 2 brothers? One is more on the Admin/front office.
And then there is Fred who is evidently on a par with TK in his pod shaving skills! Not sure how true it is, but Legends from the dark ages say that from the depths of disparity rose two brothers carved from the same stone willow!
Both were exceptional and Tim went on to sleigh the Dragon and rescue the Princess and now is seen as the true Prince, capable of many a great deed and often performing fantastic miracles! But never forget the quiet Fred who is no a Prince....but is actually a great Magician who is happy to quietly work on willow repairs in the background, but who is capable of miraculous things, and can sculpt beautiful weapons capable of sleighing any attacks, such is the magic in his gifted hands!!
