Right been as busy as one of Santa's little helpers sorting this out to go down for the Pro's to cast their eye over before Xmas gets here.
Just thought i would upload a few snaps so that people can get a feel of what the helmet would look like when sprayed and labelled up.
Not the finished article just yet as the vents needs cutting out etc but getting there....Feedback welcome ???

Hoping to bag yourself and england boy then tom?
Nice looking helmet and graphics look good, but i think the glass head is the real star of the show!
-
Looks amazing, can I have it???
-
What pro is this going to?
-
Looks great pal. It's defiantly on my most wanted list.
-
Glass head suffered a fractured nose earlier in the week...rushed him to A&E but nothing could be done to salvage it! Poor lad!
Just one of the samples we had previously so banged an England crest of to show where the badge/crest would go. Still got loads of county ones after sampling all 18 of them last year. Just snapping some of the mean greeny so will upload them in a bit.
No specified Pro as such yet but it was produced due to them asking us to get the ACIS technology into a more traditional shell so fingers crossed could be a fair few wearing it next season.
Leeroy I would suggest one to protect you from your son and his swinging bats he seems to like to assault you with ;)
-
Stick the logo on the side!
-
More exposure that way - good thinking.
I was wondering - how easy is it to spray on one crest/club logo and then maybe if you move club spray on another one over the top - is this possible?
-
The club crest are decal stickers so are interchangable at will, will show you what i mean in a sec. So if you swappwed club simply peel it off and get your new clubs printed to replace it with.
Thinking of offering a refurb service as well so that if you become bored of a blue helmet you can send it back and change the colour of it at the end of the season for example. It then comes back to you shiney and new and in the colour of your choice. Do you think people would go for this??!!
Tom...what logo on the side? the Ayrtek one?

I always thought the club crests were stickers?
Edit: Beat me to it Tom
-
Yeh Ayrtek on the side, you see much more of the side of the helmet than the back. ICC regulations don't outlaw it either as far as I know.
For a RH batter have the left side printed (if crest is front) and vice versa for LH.
-
thats what golfers do with the adverts on the sleeves- notice they always face the camera i.e on the right sleeve for right handers
-
Yeah we did have some logos on the side of the ones Jon Lewis was wearing at Glos but he got told off by the umpire i think!! So he ended up taking them off as they are removable as stickers anyway.
Will put some on the side of the green one as its winging it way to Wisden for friday for the equipment guide.

Shilly...Crests come like the below so are interchangable! Seem to have an excess of somerset and nothnats ones tho lol! See if you can spot who have had helmets ;) these are just some duplicates we have left from ones we have produced.

cheers for the pics (also impressed at the speed in which you got those uploaded!)
Are you just printing them off youself or are you getting them done for you? Sorry - lots of questions today!
-
Produced for us by a local company, not tried printing them off myself as i heard they look cheap which is not what you want when the kit is being worn by a pro. Was half way through snapping some otehrpics so thought i would show you as its easier then lol
-
Looks good, definately thinking about getting one! Kinda like the unsprayed one better though :S but both are lookers ;)
-
Can get them done with a nice carbon weave for you Sammy..havent got it now but the first samples of the modern shell we had done had a carbon fibre style unit jack on it as you can hand lay the sheets before firing it in the kiln!
-
ohh good :). Ooo sounds interesting...
-
bet it would be swann if anyone was gonna wear one
-
It's easy to start the rumour mill on here! 1st iv heard of it if he is goin to wear one!! Lol

Ayrtek, I live in Leics and was wondering have you sent any Helmets to any LCCC players?
-
I reckon Anderson, since he has gone to Mongoose, who as far as I know, dont do lids.
I saw him netting in one at the wanderers.
-

Swann's GN sponsored and wears their helmets. Someone who currently wears a Masuri or Albion is more likely.
-
Ashvir....Paul Nixon was the 1st pro to test one for us at LCCC when he was at the Delhi giants icl team.
What helmet was Anderson wearing in the nets? Not one of ours was it?
-
Anderson still uses his old GN lid as far as I'm aware.

Ok
-
Same here Tom! Perhaps people are thinking he should wear an Ayrtek one ;)
-
I didnt really see him in an Ayrtek one, but after that post about romour mongering, i couldnt resist seeing if anyone would bite!
have you got an england player lined up though? Surely big bucks would need to be exchanged, despite the superior protection???

Not Really Because Sanga Wears One For Free, And He Is Better Than Most Of The English Players!
-
With bats an England bowler costs a similar amount to Sangakkara due to the exposure you get from them.
Not sure what helmet sponsorship is like though.
-
Yeah helmets seem to be down to the players personal preference rather than part of the sponsorship deal i think. Obviously not every brand produces their own helmet so this is left to the player to choose what they feel comfortable or safest with.
would be nice to get a few on the England players if only to improve the protection they have against the bouncer to keep them fit and healthy!
-
Did you print them and if you do how? I want to make some up if thats ok.
-
Not printed off by me im afriad mate high quality versions done by a proper company not a home printer
-
Do you mind me asking how they do it?
-
Vinyl printing using high spec machines i think!

Tom...what logo on the side? the Ayrtek one?
I'd be quite happy to do that depending how much it is... More metallic blue please :D
-
will these be available to order in say matt black?
-
Liam they will be available in any colour you can pick from the spectrum!! That's what unique about being able to custom colour the helmets as they are limited only by the imagination of what you would like to appear on them :-)
-
ok thanks, i just thought matt colours would look better shiny colours
also, any chance of you emailing those pics of peplows aero bag to me? if you have a spare moment?
-

I Can just see Anderson with a mongoose t20 bat, aero pads, aero gloves and a ayrtek. Super modern :)
-
Ayrtek modern pads ;)

Haha im not a fan of their softs either, some of the bats they produce look nice imo.
-

I'm not on drugs. Its just personnal preference.
-
Tom you said about offering a sort of refurb for your helmets. How much do you rekon it'll be, for the benefit of people on here seeing a few now have your helmets ;)
-
Tried on the green traditional helmet last week, was so comfy i oculdnt believe it! Comfier than my masuri which is saying something! IMO fits nicer than the modern ayrtek helmet. Very impressed.
-
this might be answered somewhere else but when does the traditional helmet hit the streets?????
-
No not sure mate, but if your thinking of getting one, do! as it is amazing!
-
No plans set in stone as yet unless people are willing to pay the extra for a hand-made version as set up for low volumes as concentrating on the modern shell. All the shells will have the same ACIS liner by the end of the month which is what sammy tried on
-
so there good to rock at the end of the month the traditional one???
-
No the new liner is ready at the end of the month. the traditional helmets need BSI testing yet before we can sell them to the public which means another round of testing and paperwork even though they are made from the same materials as the modern etc which should yield the same results if not better!
-
dont think so, the new liners are ready for end of month i think. not sure though :S
-
ahh you beat me to it! The new lining is much comfier, hopefully will make the modern one a beast!!
-
Yeh should do mate moving away from an embossed finish and towards a flocked finish but as the only people in the world doing it took some time to get correct due to experimenting with things! Basically gives a velvet finish to the interior :)
-
Yeah is soft to feel and isn't hard so gives the helmet more room to fit my meathead in :D, whereas the other lining doesnt give much, this new one does :)
-
Right well guys I needed a helmet for my trip to Australia and fancied soemthing different, i contacted tom and asked about these traditionals, tom replied quickly as always and said he had two, one that had to be kept and one he could possibly part with! I pursuaded him to let me buy and he got it sprayed and delivered it around this morning with various other bits and pieces! Got the blue one from the first page. Its amazingly light and comfy, with it being a bit deeper than the modern one it fits my head better! The soft liner and pump mechanism makes it fit my head perfectly, cant wait to use it, and the first time i will will be out there i hope! I am very lucky to have it, so thanks to Tom. Hopefully i will be taking kit with me to Aus, if not i'll have to make a huge loss and give it back to Thomas which i hope is not the case, as its amazing!
-
Do you have pics mate as I would love to see it!
-
Page 1 :D, but if you want more pics of it - england badge etc then i'll get some!
-
peps - are you seriously going to Aus and intending to wear an England lid, while there are the Ashes going on ???
I hope you like being sledged...!!

I like your style ;)
-
Good job its been removed or you may well have never made it back!!
Just like to add nice lid and got some grips off Tom today really fast service so cheers.
-
Well as its one of only 2 in existance im sure the Aussies will look after you and not try to knock it off your bonce!!! ;)
-
:D bloody well hope so!
-
Guys got 2 a chance to hsine stickers i wanna put on to support the charity! cna use both or one but dunno where to put them!
Also tom, can i cut vents out myself or are there any professions i can take it to to get them cut, feel the heat in aus may need the vents and it would just look better too!
-
not really mate as its hard enough to drill through with a titanium drill bit due to it being carbon/kevlar....will have a think and see what i can think of
-
Ahhh ok let me know! I'm going to be sweating out haha!!
What do you think about stickers?
-
stick one either side of the helmet just above the fins is where the sponsors usually have them
