Title: What bats have you owned over the years?

What bats have you owned over the years? Are you a one brand man or do you like to test the waters. What was the best of the lot and the worst of the lot? Apologies if this has been covered can't find anything under the search function. I've been playing since I was 6, currently 23 and I've owned 17 bats in 17 years. Not a one brand man but if the quality and price point is there will more often than not be a repeat customer! 


. 7 Gray Nics, Maverick, Phoenix, Scoop, Megadrive, Fusion with that horrible carbon handle. Cant remember the other 2.
. 3 Aldred's all butterfly's one silver profile 2 gold profiles.
. 3 Fusion sports don't know if he still makes bats, had 3 of his blue bats.
. 1 Salix pod players beautiful bat only lasted a season couldn't justify the 300+ price tag for repeat purchase.
. 1 Helygen black ice profile.
. 2 that I've made for myself from handled pressed clefts.

Best of the lot the first Fusion I had, the Salix Pod Players and the Aldred Silver Sovereign

Worst of the lot the Gray Nics Megadrive and Gray Nics fusion carbon handle

Puma Evolution (with the scoops) Size 4 (9-10)
Millichamp and Hall Solution Grade 1 Size 5 (11-12)
Millichamp and Hall Distinction Size Harrow (13-14)
Woodstock Tour De Force Grade 1 Short Handle (14-15)
Woodstock Tour De Force Grade 3 Short Handle (15-16)
Woodstock Airstream Grade 1 Short Handle (16-17)

Best: Millichamp and Hall Distinction (First Adult Ton plus first junior county ton)
Worst: Puma Evolution (Bought it because stickers looked nice)

All been pretty damn good to be fair, worst would be the Satellite but it was the cheapest and it's not exactly a duff bat. The best is between the Hellfire, Kahuna and the Flame which speaks for how good the Flame was considering it's a bit lighter than the others!

and I've just transferred the money for Jaffa's HH Mojo.

The best I've had was probably the Xiphos, it was an absolute cannon. The most successful bat is the Oblivion Carbo, even though I was never convinced of it's performance I scored 6 tons and 1200 runs in a season with it. The worst I've had was the Mjolnir, it had a tiny middle and was an absolute plank and has put me right off Newbery's. I nearly binned it more than once before sticking it on ebay for a £130 loss.
I've only used my GN custom once in the nets, so I have no idea why I've bought the HH.

GN E41 LE (toss up between this one and the H4L for best one)

And last but not least my Laver & Wood Mega that's currently being knocked in for use next season.

I dread to think how much I have spent over the last 7-8 years on bats!

worst i had was the maxi just didnt get on with it

best was the SXI absolute gun until it snapped and the adidas isnt too far behind

Sold the GN as it was far too concaved for my liking, it was bought when I was a young bairn and didn't know a thing. Might sell the SF as I used it last season and just couldn't get on with it. I keep going back to the GM as its good all over. Finally debating whether to knock in the MC LTD Edi. or just keep it to look at haha :D

Bryan bat (Cheap starter bat but I remember it.)
Kookaburra (Cannot Remember what it was - I was 8!)

As an adult in Short and Long Handle

Hunts County Vision Custom Classic (Borrowed off my brother)
Hunts County Steelback (Scored a ton in it first game :-) )
Gunn and Moore Icon 909+ Bigger (Same bat stickers Jonathon Trott scored his first ton in the Ashes - 2009!) - *Current Bat

Now the GM Icon is on it's last legs and I now seek a replacement!

You did you owned, not used.

Most of these were bought for mates but of the bats used I would say the best were the BB and the Lekka Warrior. Maybe it has something to do they were made in the same place. Can't say the latter was made by the same guy as the BB but it was very good. The CA is close also.

Worst is the V1200 fusion but that is only due to the pressing I feel. But for 20 quid, I can't complain too much.

P.S. The Lekka Big Hitter is for sale. It is just waiting approval from Admin.

First bat for school cricket, gray nic's fibre thing 20 pounds from Argos
Next Harrow size slazenger v500 select belting bat uncle sorted it scored 87 for school team amazing,
Played A little in the army, woodworm wand just following big Fred, it was ok
Since playing again brought used and sold a fair few
Kook kahuna mayhem ok bat sold,
Spartan Cg authority still owned massive bat great fun,
Kook bubble sold on
H4l Nv g1 great bat still got it,
Rpc custom bat, still got use for indoor and nets
Couple of gray nic's sold on almost straight away too many at one time,
BB hulk great laugh huge profile sold on,
