How exactly?

You could wear them i guess but still think a cricket shoe would be a better option.

I guess my hockey astro shoes would be good to field in but the hassle of changing them to bowl rules that out.

On a similar note, on especially wet outfields, I know a couple of lads who wear rugby boots for added grip.

I used to use a pair of Dita ones when I batted.  They were good for hard and dry pitches, but the slickness of the wet pitch negated everything I found.

They had the bobbles round the edge so the grip of turning when running was better that general spikes.  You couldn't make a very clear line though when taking guard.

I'd suggest to try them if you are a hockey player, but not go out and buy them specifically.
