Don't have time for a full review at the moment but this gear is the bees knees. Bat is a 2'10 long blade Kahuna and standard mens softs. Pads are ridiculously good, completely different to my off the shelf Ricochets.
-
Nice mate, who did you buy them off?
-
My previous clubs oversees pro who didn't want to take the gear back with him. I was more than happy to take it off his hands.
-
Shoot me down, but was your previous pro Mike Jones?

I don't know any other pros in Norfolk, it just looked like the kit he used to get when with my old club

The gear is from a club in Cambridgeshire when I used to live there.

I'm going to ask a stupid question to you knowledgeable people, but why is there only one pad with the kook logo on?

to do with TV sponsorship issues i think, can only have one logo on each item, so they go front pad = the shin logo and back pad = the top logo as these are more visible on telly - however i may be totally wrong and that may be an urban myth!!
-
Wait, this could be vital!
If its for visibility on the tellybox the the logo on the top hat must be the front pad (or you wouldn't see it)
Which way round are the straps? Would the buckle be on the inside or the outside? ;)

Logo on the top hat has the buckles on the inside of the pad. If that's the right way round, then the straps would be on the outside.

Carberry does the same as De Villiers!
-
I have a pair of Pietersen's Adidas pads and they are designed to be worn with the straps on the outsides.

If only he LITERALLY did the same as DeVilliers, saviour of English cricket haha

i think the TV theory is that with a full ball shot - low down/defence/drive - the shin of the front pad is in view and then with a back foot shot/picture the top of the back pad is in view - again i maybe passing on an urban myth!!!!! i think they thought about it when the super slow mo's came in
so what is the answer to the pad buckle rule then? is it on the outside or the inside - i have to wear mine on the the inside because i am too fat/can't bend down to reach the outside!!!!
