Can't imagine the commentators being too great for this match with most of them on the field whilst the others are in India, UAE and aus. Doesn't leave many.
Least sky have got it

Warney's gonna commentate on it all, guaranteed

The obvious one would be for them to find an American to commentate which would be horrific.

The next obvious one is just as bad, with the IPL style commentary squad featuring the likes of ..... GULP...... Danny Morrison....

As long as it's not Mike Haysman, he is dreadful. Talks far too much and never says anything worth listening to.

In the US, WatchESPN app has the games in the upcoming events list. Not sure if will actually be free to watch..most cricket games are but an exception was the World Cup

Hows Agarkhar got in the mix for this!! Couldn't put him anywhere near the bracket of some of the names seen here - average at best

What did everyone think Shoaib Akhtar was bowling? Looked to be touching 80mph for me?

Kallis liked pretty surprised by his bouncer. Looked sharp to me. Suspect there will be a few people walking like robocop tomorrow morning

Poor show for me. Struggling to get away with the shape of the ground and it looks very pedestrian which is understandable. More modern legends needed I think. Surprised Afridi and Gilchrist aren't there amongst others, this would suit them.

How many times do we need to hear how good it is to play at the Citi stadium and how amazing the Indian crowd is??

Saying that, I'm not the target audience, so my opinion probably isn't wanted by Warne/Sachin

So I'm guessing who ever wins this game is gonna loose the next one to make the 3rd a final deciding game?

It's all a bit of fun but the fact shoaib bounced out sangakara who is still playing first class says to me he was bowling sharp

Those boundaries look awful.

This event is to real cricket what WWE is to real wrestling.

All a bit of fun and games don't take it too seriously, this is purely an exhibition and as that I think it works well

I'd have loved to see Matty Hayden bat for longer though, my fav player/batting idol

He played in a charity sort of game here last year and swung it a fair bit but bowled absolute dobblers and had no time for anyone. Maybe he's hit the gym a bit in preparation. Or the old warts have calmed down ;)

I saw the highlights and couldn't believe the poor bowling. Only bowler that challenged batsmen was Shoaib Akhtar, rest were throwing loseners. Sehwag got a lot of freebies from Walsh and Warne.

If the goal is to "globalize" cricket, then Cricket world needs to do a lot better than this. This looked like an attempt to Americanize cricket. Rather than this sham exhibition, why not have two proper teams hold a proper series in the Americas.

Let's bring two fierce rivals to play a real match instead of Cricket All Star (Commentators and their hangers-on Friends) Series. England v/s Australia? India v/s Pakistan?

I think this is a good first step. Though I don't think non-expats attended the game...but still if the tv ratings are good enough it's a good sign.

I attended the gala they had prior to the game - was fun interacting with so many stars at the same time...a few had clearly been "exploring" nyc the night before ;)

If the concept was to expand the game, why take a bunch of retired unfit cricketers over there. Half the stadium was empty - should have invited local schools etc.

Just another money making gesture from warne and tendulkar

Shahid Afridi is not retired yet, however, not seeing Adam Gilchrist really surprised me, he might be committed elsewhere or would have declined it. Hard to believe that Shane Warne wouldn't have approached him.

Akram still very good, making the ball move!
Looks like Lara getting back to his best, he just whacked one from Warne to the boundary

Sanga seems to like Matthew Hayden's bat...

Vaughan looked in decent knick - but then he always looked good, even when in horrible form - a little like Iron Bell

Just seen some of the replay, that ground is tiny, no wonder they got 262! Vaughan hit a sweet six down over long off with his new Mana, I wonder if the bat helped?

Players & commentators spoke about this particular bat at length.. apparently this one's really special & had significant competition as to who gets an opportunity to use this particular piece of willow!

Go to Warnes fb page. The bat is in the video of them netting in new Jersey. It's like warners

Sat watching a replay I believe.

It's a shame @Tom couldn't get a mmi3 and some softs out to matty Hayden.
His gray nics hear looks very old, so I'd presume he's not being paid to wear it be
