Title: Combo deals on kit - shopping around.
Post by: ProWannabe88 on November 08, 2015, 02:47:24 PM
All my kit is now in need of a refresh. Some of it is falling to bits after holding on to it a season too long. I'm looking at combo deals and have seen Jedi Cricket have a pretty good price for their top range bat pads gloves and bag. £349.99. Has anyone seen or purchased similar from other boutique brands? Has anyine got Jedi kit that could give me an hinest review on it and the guy that makes the bats? I'm wanting to try something different for next year. I've even consider buying one of the bigger brands like Kook or GM to give them a go. I know, shoot me now 😀

I know there are plenty of forum sponsors here that can do kit deals. I will be thinking about them as a primary option but id be interested to here of any smaller brands that are about that maybe I've not heard of. Any suggestions and links would be appreciated.

Maybe have a look at @Red Ink Cricket . Some nice looking bats lately and I'm sure a decent deal could be had for the full kit

I don't have the kit but I recently purchased a bat from James @Jedi and I am very impressed. The ping on the bat is second to none.

B&S had full kits for £160. Have a chat with them

Alternatively I'm sure most forum sponsors could sort you out. John @Red Ink Cricket had deals on softs

Tomo has been in touch mate. Discussing their offer now which actually looks really good for a bat pads gloves and duffle.

Thought about that dude but B&S deal with a duffle at 265.00 is very tempting at the moment

Lots of different combinations that can be put together, but to give you an idea, you could have a SS Ton kit for less than £300.

Would it be a top range bat though? The B&S kit is the LE range which is why I'm considering it mainly.

Have you tried b3?? @The Doctor @procricket B3

My mate got pads and gloves from them recently for 80 I think, and it's top end gear.

Leaves you 220 to get a 2 stripe Pepsi beast.

We are exploring an offer with Phantom, which would do pads gloves and bat, incredibly top end, for around £400.

Nothing set in stone, but is an option.

I don't get this. You don't care what brand the kit is, so long as it matches?

I understand it as him looking for the best value he can get for bat, pads, gloves & bag from any particular brand, shop or sponsor?  Once he's got some options/offers on the table he can evaluate which he feels is best value for the quality offered?

I may be wrong though?

Right! You can get a deal if you buy all together? Fair enough, I suppose.

My logic is leaving myself open to trying new brands. If left to my own devices ill always play it safe. I want to see what's out there and broaden my horizons to other brands I'd not consider. This was proved almost immediately with B&S. I'm a bit of a badger as well. As we all are here. So I kind of wanted to see what was thrown in the pot and look at value, quality and anything that jumps out at me that I won't normally look at buying

I think kit combo deals are great from the smaller brands. Fantastic way for guys to get all the standard kit they need and a reasonable saving along the way.
