Well after being away time to show my new design done by the Doctor.
It currently in CAD process but will get pictures up very soon.
It follows on from the ZIZI legacy which for me is as good a pick up on any bat.
This bat comes from the ZIZI but is bigger and after all the designs we did last year i loved the zizi the best
(http://i64.tinypic.com/2z9ii3c.jpg)
NOW PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS A OVERSIZED CLEFT A 370 DENSITY MAKES A 2-13 BAT HOWEVER WE COULD DO SAME DENSITY AND KNOCK OFF 1 TO 2MM OVERALL ON THE BAT AT A LOSS OF 1OZ PER 1MM SO IF YOU WANTED A 2-9 BAT THE SIZE WOULD BE 51MM EDGE HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE OR IF YOU VERY LUCKY AND WANTED LIGHTER YOU COULD ASK IF WE HAVE LOWER DENSITY CLEFTS BUT LOWER OVERSIZED CLEFTS DENSITY IS EVEN HARDER TO GET THAN NORMAL. HOWEVER WE WILL NOT MAKE THE TOE ANY SMALLER SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO SPEAK TO STREAKY ABOUT EXACT SPECS
-
55mm??
Just getting silly now Dave! ;)
What's the weights like on these?
-
370 density 2-13 pick up will be very very good though weight distribution on it is right up there pictures just uploading...
-
Sounds perfect, awaiting these photos with anticipation!
-
That's the sort of weight one would expect from a UK made bat with 50+mm edges :)
Sounds cool boys looking forward to pics.

You dirty little sloggers are all about edge size

You dirty little sloggers are all about edge size
Nope all about coverage hope your well buddy

Typhon was the largest and most powerful of the Titans, his was the realm of storms and was imprisoned under a mountain.
Seems like an apt name for that profile :)

Nope all about coverage hope your well buddy
I'm good mate just getting old
Hope your learning this cad stuff not just making streaky do it

Similar to the Warner GN bat but with a duck bill?
-
Similar to the Warner GN bat but with a duck bill?
Nothing like it pal i have been lucky to have had a very good luck at Warner bat bar the fact both are over 50mm edges. Shoulders much bigger on this spine much bigger on Warner..
Plus this has a convex top at the spine apex yet the Warner doesn't
:D
-
i love this even more then the pepso bat.
the size of the coverage looks amazing.
-
The typhon is getting made as I write man I have missed bats !!!!! Like Christmas if you know how much I love bats
-
no wonder B3 brought you on board Dave its boosted the profits by just letting you be there
-
Looks a beast! What was the thinking behind the tweaks, some weight off the toe and pack a lot more into the flanks around the middle, do you have a slightly heavier pick up, but a lot more wood?
-
What is the difference between edge size and edge 'coverage'?
-

Just supersized where it was need to be supersized and kept the toe similar to the zizi in terms on wood
Also upped the shoulder slightly to allow for better weight distribution
-
Looks like a full bodied laver ultra. 👍
-

Well mate the trott has coverage in terms of size of middle this is a middle from the splice all the way down
-
Phase 1
(http://i64.tinypic.com/15qc1va.jpg)
-
That looks obscene (in a very good way!)
What's the finished weight going to be?
-
2-13 I think (370) density
-
That is one of the most intimidating bats I have ever seen.
-
Hopefully get a few proper finished snaps I'm picking the beast up at b3 tomorrow so if any questions in anything b3 please contact me I be there from 0930-1200 and will have streaky on hand to answer any questions if people want
-
2-13??!
Want.

Just to tease Dave till tomorrow;

Crikey!!!
-
Does this one need an oversize cleft?
-
Yes mate you can't get 55mm edge out of a normal cleft plus the convex profile top
-
How much for one of these?
-
MOST INVIGORATING!!!!!!
-
How much for one of these?
Think there a series price now pal if not size modifications where made
-
C'est ridiculous!!
-
That's amazing. Really glad I use a proper size bat 3lb plus if I did but one of these

Dave, can you put some pics up of this along side the Pepsi bat to compare please.
-
The finishing looks superb! Imagine this with a lighter cleft but make the spine bigger! Even if it weighed 2.14-2.15, that would be immense!
-
Dave, can you put some pics up of this along side the Pepsi bat to compare please.
will do tomorrow pal i think there a few pepsi in.
-

Agreed but happy with the coverage and feel anything over 62mm on a spine is wasted as there no twist but with bigger edges equaling gives the lack of twist due to the weight of the bat in the area. But i do know what you mean will post a few pictures of bats with smaller edges and some with bigger spine.
But i guess thats my theory this is a experimental bat which i think will be my main bat
-
Bet it picks up nicely, I like how the spine stays high into the handle!
I just personally like a touch more spine to edge, bet it flies off that though!
-

👍
-
Nice shape, it's almost tempting me to give B3 another chance.
-
Cheers pal pictures coming of this vs Pepsi and streaky has a unique offer for somebody all will be revealed soon

I also picked up a custom Pepsi today with square toe will show that some time later on.
Overall very happy with this new concept bat picks up very well and off the mallet and tap it is a beast with a great coverage.....
-
Thanks for the pics Dave. Looks better in the flesh than on cad. It's a tough choice for either profile. I presume this has a lower middle than the Pepsi
-
Now that's a beast of a bat!!!
-
That profile looks nice with long middle. @procricket B3 do you know what will be the dimensions if you want it in 2-10 weight and average density cleft

Really like those stickers! Gonna ebay some bats tomorrow to fund a Pepsi!
-
Finishing looks good. Those lime stickers are also my favourite!
-
Are B3 going for ripple grips now?

we have them now yes we have been looking at more grips.
-
That's good news, I have just spent the last few evenings searching for single colour ripple grips for my B3's. They are hard to find without gm branding.....
-
I'm very tempted to buy one but have quite a few bits I need to shift first

As it was a 370 cleft, add 3oz to use a 400 cleft so 3lb so losing 6oz is losing 6mm off the profile as a rough guide you are looking at a high forties mm profile. 55mm less 6-7mm = 48mm ish

Sorry pal it not as simple as that with this shape as the toe will not be made any smaller so the 1mm all over is not quite the case unfortunately as Streaky will not make one with a very small toe as i said best to chat to Streaky mate

There's a place on ebay that has a good range, sadly not in the same thickness as the GM ones. From the pictures the b3s look just as good, good news as they're easily my favourite grip these days.
-
I like it dave. I want one.
Cmon $AUS return to something worthwhile.

Need to look maybe at normal sized cleft the coverage idea ala 1271 and the typhhon/zizi.
I may go back to my roots and look at something around 2/8 slash 9 within the regs or go mega mong size...

Big fan of the typhoon! How do you find the pickup and useability?
