We have a bat that we have done something new with - shape is a DB1 2'9oz- the bat will be sent out blank free of charge.
All I request is that you use it lots during the winter nets and provide feedback.
Please dont send an email if you wont be able to test.
Please send an email to david@b3cricket.com - and tell me what is your favourite biscuit and what dog you have or you would have.
Closing date is next friday.
-
As much as I want to enter I'm not going to take an opportunity away from someone who will actually test it. My first net won't be until next March!!
Good luck everyone.
-
Too light for me so won't enter.
If you could reply to my tweet it be grand though. Cheers
-
What an offer! Best of luck fellow bat badgers!
-
Is this offer for international customers as well?
-
Great offer, email sent.

Have also just emailed you

Dont forget the most important answers;

favourite dog
Streaky!

Dropped an email over - hope my dislike of dogs doesn't count against me ha! Would be interesting to compare whatever the new tech is against my standard DB1 for sure.

Is this for International members too?
We are playing one of the most prestigious corporate cricket tourney for IT professionals here in Bangalore, India. If given a chance can do the bat testing to the fullest.

Genuinely gutted to not be able to net enough to do this offer justice! I hope it isn't too spectacular a bat :(

Hi Chaps,
The winner (s) have been picked and will be receiving an email this morning.
Thats right I said winners - due to the over whelming response I havent counted yet but we got 100+ entrants I have decided to make another.
We are trialling a few things and should have some more bats for people to trial.
The question is - what random question to ask next......
My favourite dog (not that Mrs B. would let me get one) would be a British Bulldog
My favourite biscuit (this is areal tricky one) Oerio / chocolate hobnob / caramel digestive - all with a hot drink (coffee). Although like the retro custard cream / jammy dodger
Just like to point out Cakes go hard when old and biscuits soft - and on that logic Jaffa Cakes are as per the name - A CAKE!! ;-)
Streaky

how about:
* favourite flavour of crisps

Nothing for me.
Don't even own my favourite dog (Burmese mountain dog) or biscuit (bourbon) to comfort myself.
Dark times.
-
I got some bourbons at home but no dark chocolate digestives

How many were short listed?

So have any CBF members received these mysterious bats or has everyone been told to keep quiet?
-
Am also interested to hear about this

i know a few went out one came with me which is in the hands of @RF
-
I've got one and will be testing along with all the members of my club who use lighter bats when our nets start (seniors and juniors).
-
None of these test bats exist ;)
-
I've used mine quite a lot in the last few weeks and it's a decent bat. The more I play with it the better it's getting actually.
The bat has had some cracks that B3 have repaired with a new type of glue hence the reason for the testing.
The glue has been solid, none of the cracks have opened up again and if the cracks were covered by stickers you wouldn't know they were there.

I know the rules, pics here

May I ask what was it that was being tested? New shape, Pressing, gluing/repair work?
Thanks
-
A mixture of a few things repairs on some glue on others just a mixture of things

Thanks Dave, would the summary be made available to us general public or was this more of an internal R&D?

They can say what they want the trials, The bats where lower grade in most cases and we are just looking into things so not sure but think it more a internal thing as the people receiving the bats don't always know what we did...
