Watching highlights now on sky from aus v nz day 3
And how good does Kane Williamson look
If roots and smith are top of the tree he seriously can't be far away
-
He's had a fantastic year. I reckon he is underrated
-
I think hes ranked 5th in the world.
Apparently behind De Villiers, Smifffy, Rooooot & Amla.
Not entirely sure how the calculate it but the rabkings are here

2nd to only De Villiers in world cricket for me! Very very classy player
-
I don't know how the points work but in fairness 28 points between 1st and 5th doesn't seem much! That top 5 looks fair enough to me, and if you had it in any order I don't think we could really complain.

Williamson is by far the best test batsmen. Just look how chanceless, how classy and simply how he scores runs playing the right shots and keeping it on the carpet whilst at it.
Ab and co are rated the same but they aren't quite in the test class with him. Warner for example scored more runs but it wasn't as classy and he was taking far more risks with his shots

Agreed doesn't look like getting out at the moment in amazing form!

Kane Williamson can score runs on any surface would be number one if the Kiwis played more test matches
-
Williamson would be top for me, Runs everywhere including the subcontinent.
would rank them: Williamson, AbD, smith, root and amla.

Best batsmen in the world right now and for the last 12 months. Scores runs in all formats as well, oh, and he's a Yorkie :)
-
I'm glad I started this as he just looks so classy
Good soft hands for defenceive play and yet can really get through the ball when required
Also scores 360 around the wicket.
And good to see Ross Taylor in the runs too

I think Alan Border's words from last week have probably convinced a few more people now.
His Mum works in accounts here at school, I always try and strike up a conversation about him but she gets embarrassed. How do I ask his Mum for one of his bats without sounding like a knob?

18 months ago I watched him score 90 odd in a Yorkshire CC warm up game for the 2014 T20 season at York. He was good that night but he has certainly surpassed all expectations to become a world class player
