Is anyone else watching the England match slowly crawl to a draw? What did you think of that run out? Whose fault?
-
Pietersens, huge no from trott! Pietersen throws his wicket away again!
-
That's sort of what I thought at first but Pietersen makes the single easily - he's jogging when he gets to the other end. Surely it was his call (in front of square) and Trott has to trust him?
Also should Trott have not sacrificed his wicket since Pietersen was batting so much better?
-
Absolutely Pietersen's fault. Brilliant player but a bit of a tit sometimes. Trott has played very well today. Really good, mature innings given that it is only his second match
-
Trott has batted the day, set himself well, once set has scored fair more freely than this morning
-
Pietersens fault 100%.
"noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" from trott
"yeah yeah" from pietersen !
Probley just lost us that !

Trott is the SA/English Version of Rahul Dravid

Except Dravid can manoeuvre spin and play it well.

i think if pietersen was still there with an hour to go , we may of gone for the win...
-
Exactly my sentiments and why I would have far preferred to see Trott out.
-
trott couldent buy a run to start off with against harris , i mean harris isent excatly great , ravi bopara!!!!!!
-
Don't understand why people would rather have seen Trott run out tbh, Trott was by far the better man for the situation yesterday than KP.
As for the run out itself, definitely KP's fault, Trott wouldn't have made it in a month of Sundays

probably the stupidest thing i've ever heard....
to be fair trott is only averaging 65 is tests so far, might as well drop him!!
-
In that particular situation, I would prefer to see Trott there as he is more patient that KP!
Trott turned the run down immediately! It was a test match and 1% chance of gettiing the win.
So why bother going for a quick single????
And batting against Harris? He isnt a great bowler but he was accurate - so why attack his bowling if you dont need to?
Trott did the right thing and defended! Dravid and other top batsmen would have done the same - you need to bat exactly how the situaton dictates!
-
Yeah completely agree, Pietersen may have gone on to score more runs than Trott did but we had no realistic chance of winning that Test so runs were irrelevant.
Trott batted time and occupied the crease, as it was Onions was out there for the last ~6 overs of the day.

Was he counting balls? Went on the 5th ball to get the strike I think!!!
