Post by: Canners on November 22, 2015, 01:19:57 AM
Hi guys, want s big duffle for next season and it's proving to be a tricky decision.

Thought it was going to be the kook pro players one? But been discontinued

So deciding out of the below

GN1000
GN omega
GN supernova
Ton pro
Kook kd5000

Thoughts please ???

I've gone for the Supernova duffle. I have had my CK22 for 2 seasons and it's still in good nick but fancied something with a few more pockets for putting cash etc. as soon as it comes I'll put some pics up

Red ink duffle is definitely worth a look. Padded bat pockets, large side pockets. Valuables pocket, boot tunnel. All you need in a bag. Few pics and reviews on here

I'll chuck it out there as wel, contact Gary at B&S, the new duffle he is doing is massive! 3 bat padded pocket, 2 side pockets, plus a front pocket for spikes then a big inside area

Don't blank bats do a good duffle?

What about the GM one?

The new GM Original duffle looks pretty good.

Ton duffle is roomy but lacking in pockets.

Red ink duffle is great, I had all my kit in mine and enough room left to put my dog in there for a run round!

Currently using a GN1000. Not as big as the Red Ink, more pockets than the Ton, yet still enough room for all my kit and whites. That is my favourite so far, but I feel my hunt for the perfect bag feels never ending haha

I can second the @Red Ink Cricket duffle is huge! The mesh pocket on the revers of the flap is a clever idea and has two very spacious side pockets.

Thanks Tommo not just for this post but all your others just be careful though Admin may not like your Favoritism
I can honestly say this years Duffle has turned out better than expected @£50.00 including postage great value

Supernova or NB duffle, undecided yet. Playing the waiting game for both of them is a hell of a drag.

Another vote for Red Ink from ne, all you need in a bag and cheap to boot.

Considering the Supernova as well for next year. Being a keeper, I like to have a bigger bag but feedback so far suggests it'll suit me. Bargain too

Went Christmas shopping today, that meant I spent an hour at nearest cricket shop!!! They had gm original, New balance and gn supernova in for me to assess. Wasn't keen on new balance, just reminded me of camping rucksack!! Gm was a decent bag, but for me the supernova was superior. Lots of compartments, great size, and just fit on my back the best. Just a pity it doesn't match rest of my kit!!!

With the help of willing persons on here, that can change very quickly.

Luckily I'm a good customer so the shop owner had no problem with me packing the bag with gear, was seriously impressed.

Good customer? Surely this option should be available for all? We have each bag we sell on display filled with foam or cardboard to show what it looks like when full. Customers are free to remove this and load it with their gear (or mine if they didn't bring theirs) to see how much each bag can hold. I say that should be the norm, not just for good customers!

For some reason I like the Kookaburra KD5000 duffle in Black/Grey/Orange colour, next comes Supernova. Eager to see B&S & Red Ink duffle. Just need a over sized duffle my TON duffle is not enough for my kit.

The B&S duffle this year is definitely oversized, well the one at Vitas event was big, definitely bigger than last years, considering it myself, just need to get over to see Jake and decide...

I've gone for the B&S duffle and pre-ordered one with Jake. Very impressed with what I saw. It's big without being overly huge, plenty of storage but the 3 padded bat sleeves sold it for me - very well padded with very little chance of damage to the bats stored in there

There seems to be a duffle for everyone at the moment.  I guess if we categorise them then we have the following favourites at the moment.

Big duffle for the ultimate kit owner:
- Gray Nicolls Supernova
- Kookaburra KD5000
- GM Original Duffle

One Step Down
- New Balance
- GN 1000
- Newbery

Other Options:
- Ton
- Omega XRD

Popped into Uzi Sports today for a look at duffles

Ended up with Asads own Uzi Pro duffle rather than the gn supernova
To be honest, it just looked better made and I preferred the overall look of the Uzi duffle

It's swallowed all my kit with ease

Come on Mark do a review as I want to see where we need to improve on next version

Just put my two yr old to bed, little so and so hasn't stopped filling and un filling the bag!!!

Not really reviewed owt before, the fact I've spent my hard earned northern tight git money on it should speak volumes tho.

First thing for me was the looks, a lot classier? Than other offerings, ,love the colour/fabric used, like a cordura type material, which seems a lot harder wearing than say the gn duffle
The bag stands up with nothing in it,,,nice touch
Two way zips ease opening and closing,, nice touch
Padded bat compartment inside for two bats
Loads of room for pads and clothing inside, including two big old fashioned jumpers as I'm now officially a southern softie
Valuable pocket inside, very nice touch
Large outside compartment fits my gloves and box in easy. Love that, no more rooting round in the bottom of a bag
Bottom outer compartment for boots, again, nice touch.

Loads of room left inside, which I'm sure you could fit thigh pads, keeping gear etc, helmet, easily.
The carrying straps feature release buckles/clasps, and are nicely padded

All in all, love it, didn't realise how much, my old kook bag wound me up with its crap design etc
Looking forward to using the duffle and hopefully the little bit of room it should free up in the changing rooms, and no more bats getting spiked.
Hopefully once my teammates have a look, a few more will find there way to Oxfordshire changing rooms

As always, a pleasure to shop at Uzi
