I could literally do better using Paint - would love to know who designed those for him.

Surprising more professionals haven't started up brands though, I presumed there would have been some sort of ECB regulation against it?

Imagine if someone like KP, Root or Flintoff started a brand, they'd be flogging them left, right and centre regardless of the quality.

With KP and Flintoff they would earn far more being paid by adidas or Puma than they would setting up their own brand and taking profits from that

Arent there ICC regulations for brands that mean they have to make cricket equipment? For example KP couldnt start using red bull main stickers bats. Wasnt this why MRF started selling cricket gear to allow them to sponsor pro players

Yeah that's right, hence why Nike/Reebok/MRF started selling bats out in India (Nike not so much now I guess)

Didnt a Sri Lankan player in the mid 90s try and bat with a bat with Sam's chicken or something like that on it.

Yes Matt I believe it was family thing, we have a lot of bags, pads and gloves at my club as it was Luke's Childhood team but I haven't seen any bats but from what I was told they were stickered up Indian made bats.

i brought a couple of bats made by black sands off of ebay 3 years ago, they were damaged and needed repair but they are lovely bats (balance, ping, pick up) if they are indian made they got them from a better than average company as they do not seem the 'bargain' version of indian made bats that many manufacturers pick up and they seemed to be made properly - not just the massive profile/edge verisons
