To avoid an overload of pictures in one post, I'll do this in parts.
You may have seen this one before in a couple of threads.
Long story short, I got this from Simon for a very good price.

Unfortunately it was heavily bleached. After a couple of coats of oil it looked almost like willow again.

As you can see, the face started coming to life, but that got me wondering what was hidden by the bleach.

So I masked the sticker on the face and sanded as close as I was brave enough to go.

The face looks a lot better now, it's alive again!

After a coat of oil it became clear this was a real beauty of a butterfly cleft!

I'm incredible happy with it now, I just need to finish knocking it in and apply a scuff sheet.

Might have to take sander to mine, see what lies beneath!
-
I have 2 of these and 2 GM's that have been bleached! May have to start the sander!!
-
If you don't care about the stickers then taking them off and sanding the whole bat is probably a good idea.
I'm half tempted to fully strip mine down, but I like the stickers too much... :-[

How much would it have cost from one of the smaller brands? Big brands do have a benefit
