Picked this bat up from a pro player last week, obviously its been well used and in need of a refurb although I'm not sure if its worth it. Can guarantee you this is genuine but can anyone guess who owned it and used it before me. Hopefully not many people know me that well so may not be that easy to identify but not sure how many professional players sue this brand and model. Its has the letters PLR stamped in the shoulder but I'm not sure if that's some sort of reference.

Rated by the great Shane Warne as the best One Day keeper batsmen in England and is nick named Colonel ?
Indeed Apple Phil Mustard
-
so.... is it up for sale?
-
Not sure what I'm doing with it ? not really thought about it tbh.
-
Personally, I would get it refurbished, new set of stickers and sell it on, but there would be a part of me that would keep it.
-
How did you get a hold of that?
-
i would keep it.
-
i would sell it to me ;D
-
I live pretty close to Chester Le Street and know a few of the players up there.
-
i wouldnt mind a pros bat . . .
-
lol, i'm still working on getting one of ian blackwells bats. my uncle is good mate with him ;D
-
As a Lehman to gettin hold of a pros bat (had a hold of a few of their helmets!!!) is there a big difference between what we get fed by the retailers than what they get? Is it like a pro footballers boots who are custom fitted and forged from the finest kangaroo hides that have been road killed that day in Adelaide?
-
i would imagine so.... the best willow and the shape to what they prefer. also use the lightest clefts possible

Lol Tom couldn't of put it better myself ? wont win a beauty contest and ain't got 47 straight grains either but plays better than anything I've ever had or seen.
-
anyone remeber marlon smauls bat, totally covered in green bowling machine marks, not very nice grains at all, used it for almost a full one-day series, and he smashed it around,
looks dont mean much.
-
I see...and i thought all these modern professionals were in the gym every day not the bar lifting pints playing spoof at the Belfry!!
2.6-7 isnt that a Chic bat made for the skirt wearing lady kind (no offense ladies)? Must be where im going wrong... im off to the shed to whittle down my bat to a broom handle.
-
to be fair if you get a bat down to that weight then it would be a broom handle lol, just shows what the pros go for a number use light bats, guess there all girls or they know something we don't?
-
Raj Tailor - legend at our club, uses a Phoenix 2lb 2 xD
-
That the difference in them getting offered the better clefts i guess that they can still obtain the desired profile at a lighter weight that what they can produce from what we get to pick from. What we would use with a 34mm edge will be 2.10 and what they can get will be 2.7 with grip stickers etc all included! Should have asked Lewy to swap me his last thursday lol
-
whats the orange thing round the handle of the bat? is that something that mustard used to get his hand in the right place or something?
