Title: B3 bat handle
Post by: kaartman on December 18, 2015, 04:32:06 PM
Thanks to 50% off deal, I am getting ready for my 1st B3 bat ever :)
Just wondering if one chevron grip is good enough for B3 bats or do we need a second grip to prevent shock.
PS: We use super cheap balls in USA.

I would like to factor this while specifying weight of the bat.

Thanks.

depends upon how think you like your handle to be. I like thin handles and one grip (and i am in USA)
i don't think you will get any shock by just having 1 grip...its more about handle thickness and double grip also helps with pickup
Many of my friends use 2 grips also
its a personal preference

Also depends on what bat shape you are after, on how thick you can have the handle. Can't say I've ever suffered with shock from a bat, once it has been knocked and played in.

I guess I am fine with a thin handle (my SS Vertu has a thin handle and never had issues with it). On the other hand my GMIcon gave me quite a few shocks till it opened up.
