Title: Advice for an Aussie, red ink or kelsall cricket bat?
Post by: dez107 on December 24, 2015, 03:39:36 AM
Hi guys, first time poster long time reader.

I'm from australia and our dollar is horrible atm so im after a custom made bat for £200 or less (price isnt including delivery) ive narrowed it down to red ink or kelsall cricket bats. Havent seen any in real life so any advice would be greatly appreciated) cheers.

Droo me a pm if you want to discuss anything. Can easily fit within budget and make a bat to your specs.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed buying a bat from either.

I'm local to @Ryan Kelsall and have sourced a fair few bats from him, including for club mates. Really takes a lot of pride in every bat he produces and is very flexible in making something to the customers bespoke requirements.

I've had bats from both, and both are a pleasure to deal with, offer excellent wood and customer service. You won't go wrong with either, so why not go crazy and order a bat from both!!!!!!

Haven't had any experience with Kelsall so cant help you there but have seen Red Ink bats amd they are absolute value for money. Based on forjm reviews Kelsall seems excellent as well. You won't go wrong with either. Keep us posted on your decision and the bat you buy eventually. Good Luck

Both top blokes haven't  dealt with Red Ink personally  but only seen good reviews. Ryan makes a good bat too so the advice from forum members is only going to confuse  you more as you are not going to  hear a bad word about either. Ask them to send you available  clefts in your budget and pick from the clefts rather than bat  maker.
