You basically have a chat ith them about what sort of player you are, have a look at some aof the profiles and decide whats best for you. Then depending on how busy they are you can watch your bat be made in front of you or if not watch them making some one elses and have a peek around the workshop. Theyre nice chaps and make very good bats, have fun!

i had it mate,
spoke to rob about what sort of player i am and what shots i tend to play. he then handed me a few bats from the shop and asked me which ones i found the nicest. then went on into the workshop picked out a cleft i liked, using a mallet. he talked me through it all the time, giving me the bat after every stage to approve of it! then when finished, took it into the shop and chose the labels to go on the bat and gave me a free cover. was about 2 hours in total and was the best bad i've ever had.

Well better late than never. Managed to get myself down to county ground. I tried to sell off my voucher to a few on the forum without success, and to be honest im glad now it didnt sell.
Well. . . . what an experience, Rob and Nick were absolutely fantastic. Told Rob in simple terms . . . . .i want a bat thats going to perform, will be happy if it lasts just one season, performance over durability anyday . . . . "i want you to make me a bat that'll ensure i come back again next year".
I wanted a bat in 2lb 9/10 oz, good for driving with a chunky profile. i specified i wanted a light weight cleft. Rob chose a cleft that was according to him 2-3oz lighter than the others. he said it was good cleft but had a few blemishes but would be very good. . . thats why he still had it (ie due to the blemishes).
In any case i cant beleive the bat hes made for me, based on the distinction shape, but slightly different from it. . . its huge. an absolute monster. i have never seen a bat this big before. pics and review to follow.

Been thinking to myself this morning. This bat reminds me of Captain cavemans club. it really is huge. i reckon to look at it you would say its easily a 3 pounder.
-
You stuck with it then......good choice!!! Look forward to seeing what they have mustered!
Glad you enjoyed it,, good old Somerset hospitality!
