Title: Trainee Bat Maker / Finisher @ Salix
Post by: StillNotOut on January 03, 2016, 05:31:38 PM
A good opportunity for someone local:

Salix are looking for a trainee cricket bat maker/finisher, ideally local to ME17.   No prior experience needed, just good practical skills and a desire to be involved in craft based manufacturing. Please email office@salixcricketbats.com for an application form.

Shame I'm too old, too far away and too big a mortgage to apply!

On the Chase website (about a month ago so may not be anymore) there was a very similar offer

If I was two years older I so would've applied

What an opportunity!

35 years old, married, 2 kids and with a mortgage but if anything like this arose anywhere near me I still think I'd apply!

That was my problem when I did work there part time a year or so ago? Was able to fit in around my job whilst I lived closer. If anyone can working with Andrew, Ben, Hugh and Ian is fantastic and you really do learn a lot in a great set up.
