Looking into purchasing coaching equipment for my club next season, what are your clubs most used/best purchases?
We have quite a few hundreds to spend so anything can be suggested.
-
A coach and I'm being serious. Our best finishes in the league are when we have paid for a coach to take training and if possible watch our matches. We have just provided balls and obviously a place to train. We have bought equipment but a lot ends up gathering dust. 2 items we do use a lot are a single sprung stump(s) and a corrugated catch ramp.
-
Skyer, baseball mitt, catch-it, high and low spring stump. Fielding net is nice, but we tend to break them quite quickly

Can not go wrong with a skyer, easy to use for the lazy one hitting you balls in the air and along the floor, i havnt found much use for a baseball mit as you get your keeping taking catches over a pair of stumps so he warms up as well.
The one thing i would like to invest into is a set of fusion multi stumps. Which obiously serve the same purpose as spring back stumps in nets and a sping stump for feilding, but with alot more purposes as well for fielding. If there are juniors at your club a bowling machine wouldnt go without questioning, paceman seem to do the job for those up to about 14/15 years old.

Sidearm - once you've mastered how to use it correctly, it's an amazing coaching tool. I prefer to practice against someone using a sidearm to a bowling machine

Sidearm is good and can be used by anyone

A Katchet ramp by far. No longer have to rely on people to throw with enough pace and then deliberately guide a ball to the slip fielders.

This will be our best (and probably only) purchase for our club training, this season:-

Thanks for all the suggestions, keep them coming. I think we own everything that has been suggested so far.
We have been looking at a Paceman bowling machine, worth the money? Bare in mind we already have a Bola machine.
-
I love a catching cradle. It sorts out those who can throw and those who can't.

Not if you own a fully service bola, just buy and automatic feeder instead

Side arm pro is working great for us. Looking for a Side arm elite but looks like its sold out everywhere.

I have a paceman bowling machine and it does a job. It can give most club batsman decent practise in grooving shots for an affordable price. You can use it for realistic catching practise as well.

A few pieces of kit that i think are great and help to add variety to the sessions;
Crazy catch - great for within a fielding circuit and when taken apart great for short leg / silly point work
Baseball mitts - helps to break groups down into smaller numbers - i think theres nothing worse in pre season than waiting a couple of minutes in between each catch!
Fusion Stumps - great for pre match warm ups as the ball doesnt deflect so much when the bowlers hit it and lots of catching drills can be down with them too
Half bats - some great half bats from red ink cricket at the proper weights rather than the cheap ones form the major brands
3oz bowling machine balls - great for bback foot work and also batting against swing. Also bit of fun in fielding drills
Tennis balls - regardless of level great for doing batting drills
Cones - very basic but having plenty means you can set up multiple fielding drills in advance rather than waiting between each different drill

Thanks for the link but the seller does not deliver to USA :(
Elite should be stiffer than Pro to throw faster deliveries. It is fun once u master it.
