Title: worst looking buy

hey friends, after my previous bat ended up like this

i was looking in market for a cracker t20 bat, had a few mails with asad bhai but couldnt buy a bat solely with a look of it.
so on a recent trip to london i visited morrant sports in south woodford area had a budget of ~£300, tapped all the bats from newbury to gray nics all were good but were not satisfying, then out of curiosity checked dukes bats which in my opinion had worst looking grains but were in very good profile.

first bat i picked up was there penultimante lowest grade. dukes patriot county pro

this bat is 2.13 with full profile so i would say true to its size. its a massive peice of wood with amazing response from the mallet and good ping when tried with a ball.

i have knocked it for an hour or so and it is resonding brilliantly.

this ugly dukes costed me 139 quids. final results are yet to be seen in the ground i am confident that it is going to be a nice bat.

I have seen a few Duke's crackers up in my end of the woods.  I have to say I thought that they gave up with selling bats a long time ago and was pleasantly surprised with what they had produced.

Could be a lot uglier!! Like the face stickers especially, not so much the back ones. Looks like you've got a cracker for a bargain!!

Personally I won't spend 140 quids for a bat looking like that, the reponse from the bat must be supercalifragilisticspialidocious for me to give it a chance. At 140 quids you can get decent looking bat with good response, since you tried other bats I guess the ping would be exceptional in your opinion.

i wouldnt even consider a bat with such grainage solely by the looks, but i spent more then an hour tapping different bats. this bat has a very big sweet spot with amazing ping,

i might do a video review today.
