Broadly seems to have some Adidas boots with Velcro on, and they look quite nice
Do any of the forum sponsors know if these are going to be available to buy, or are they specially made for him?

Specially made for him I think you'll find.

His pants have knee patches with comfort pads.

Probably more for reinforcement and a bit more protection when they are chasing leather in the field all day! And diving around like they do.
Shoes are definitely a custom job, most of the pro's boots are in some way, shape or form!

I notice the trousers have zips at the bottom rather than the buttons I have on my Adidas trousers. Anyone know if the zips will be standard on Adidas trousers? Or is it a Team England special? Wouldn't mind a pair!

Jimmys boots dont have the strap so has to be custom, broads also had a hole for his toe which looks made for rather than self cut!

Might be wearing knee sleeve like basketball players do.

Looking to get a pair of Adidas with the poppers, how are they? Purely for looks reasons... I like the baggier effect at the bottom :)

I like them, comfy and very lightweight and would definitely use them again. I do like the poppers at the bottom but just find they can be too much of a 'flare' for my liking, zips would be more adjustable :)

Agreed! The poppers are fantastic and the Adidas trousers are hard to beat.

Sounds good to me. I'm partial to a flare!

yh cos Jimmy uses the Vectors, and Broad uses the Vector Mids (or at least is claimed to)
Broad doesn't have the red band all the way round the midfoot, like the vector mids

Of yeah if he does if you actually look properly! In that case, no they don't do the strap anymore since last year. Something to do with resticting movement... But broad does what he wants

Broad's had custom boots for a good while now, if I recall right when he had a spell injured with heel problems he even went over to Germany to work them out with a specialist/Adidas according to the media at the time.
-
Makes total sense, really; adidas provide custom boots for their football players, so why wouldn't they do so for their top cricket stars :D

I've noticed Stokes' New Balance have a considerable cut in one of his boots for his big toe too! Looks as if it is a genuine modification for a specific bowler's needs.

Can only imagine jimmy is a little more light footed through the crease.

Has been for years! Definitely one for the more hit the crease hard type bowler though. Less seen these days now that bowling boots have hugely improved, but used to be pretty standard. I remember seeing the boots of various England bowlers on tv with cutouts in the toe as a teenager and thinking what a great idea it was before immediately taking the scissors to my GN boots... sweet relief the next time I bowled. Less good for those days when you remember you're an amateur and have to play on a sopping wet outfield though!
