Title: Bowling Warm Ups and Speed
Post by: Jamesfield on January 17, 2016, 05:26:50 PM
Hi All,
Anyone got a good set of exercises/routine they use to warm up before bowling? Although i do warm up i still feel tight for the first few over and stiffen up inbetween spells of lengthy bowling. Also any advice for getting speed up ? ( Have a few videos if that helps.)

Cheers
James

just read it, it's a really comprehensive and useful read. the point about focusing on technique as much as physical fitness is imperative

what do you do as your warm up?

To warm up I try and bowl a few overs. Gets everything moving, and I'm now at an age where, if I don't, things don't move so well....

Never seen the 4 tent peg idea before, will have to give it a go.
Warm up usually just includes general stretching, especially back which is always tight. Then bowling at stump for 10 mins
