Received the helmet a few weeks ago, and thought it was about time I did a quick review on it.
I have a Masuri (normal not titanium) and still have my albion test series elite with titanium grill, so I was very interested to see how it compared.
First and most obvious aspect is the appearance, many purists will not be a fan of the new design, but I along with many people like the appearance. Tom sorted my club logo to the front, which looks great and put my initials on the back.
Second is the weight, the Ayrtek is much lighter, but feels so much lighter when wearing, i realise that sounds a bit irish.
I replaced my Albion with my Masuri, but the one thing I did really like about the albion was the different pads it came with, so you could get a closer fit, that was a great feature, Ayrtek have taken this further with great success.
The helmet is fantastic and it will be replacing my Masuri. When anyone asks me about helmets, Ayrtek will be the first brand I advise, great customer service, very well priced and above all, great product.
I will be do a review on vision etc, after I use it in nets.
