Title: B3 Series DB1 cricket bat
Post by: AlanB on January 30, 2016, 02:44:18 PM
Specifications ordered

Shape : DB1 Series
Grade : two stripe
Weight : around 2lb 14/15oz, agreed to go a little heavier if this facilitated better willow
Handle Length : Short Handle
Handle type : Oval
Stickers : light blue
Grip : white
Toe Guard : No
Knocking In : No
Scuff sheet : No

bat received was spot on 2lb 14oz which I am happy with, 40mm edges including the rounding.

haven't oiled it or knocked it in so reserve judgement on performance.

I am not an advocate that bats can pick up much lighter than their actual weight, however, this bat feels nicely balanced and can instinctively feel where the middle is.

Great photos mate. Shape looks cracking too and it looks quite nice for a 2 stripe

@AlanB => Great pictures. DB1 has a very light pick up. I am glad that you went with 2lb14oz. I am beating up myself for getting 2lb10oz when i could have easily handled a 2lb12oz ...
