Title: Michael Clarke on the comeback trail
Post by: Aussie In England on January 30, 2016, 10:01:13 PM
Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has announced his is returning to competitive cricket. Clarke will play for Western Suburbs on Feb 20-21.

Clarke is looking to play in the 2016-17 Big Bash League, as well as the IPL and County cricket. He hasn't ruled out playing for NSW in Shield cricket either.

Maybe a comeback in the Baggy Green could happen...

Glad to see him make a comeback.

There not many counties left with overseas players so be interesting to see where he gets a gig.

Same with big bash and ipl, I wonder if Melbourne will take him after him terminating his contract, and if anyone's willing to bid in the ipl. As I doubt his starting price be cheap!

Pleased to see this...not my favourite Aussie by a long way but thought he jacked it all in a bit early.he is a divisive character maybe that caught up with him.
But def good news he is a class bat
The question is thou will his back hold up? At the end of the ashes he looked very immobile at the crease

Didn't he retire because he was hopelessly out of form and struggling to compete at the highest level?

At least Pietersen was at the top of his game when he was invited to "move on".
