Title: Do i need to replace my bat
Post by: AR93 on January 31, 2016, 08:16:18 PM
Hi everyone

After a net session today i noticed a few cracks starting to appear on the edges and bottom of my bat so im wondering if the current stick has run its course ? my season starts in april and dont want to end up playing one game and not having a bat to use for the following week.

I would appreciate a bit of advice as im not 100% sure what to do in this situation.

Thanks,
Adam

Should be ok but never hurts to have a back up

Even the most minor scratch on a bat is enough to convince me to buy another bat or two, maybe three...

In all seriousness though, yours looks fine

It's a kookaburra so it's supposed to crack 😉

In all fairness, it looks fine. Bit of glue and a clamp won't hurt.

Your bat looks fine, but as this is CBF you best buy 2 or 3 spares anyway.
That's what we all seem to do round here, anyway  :D

If you like the bat I would get busy with some more fibreglass or cloth tape and keep it going for a while yet at the he same time looking out for a replacement. Doesn't look too bad from the photos

Kooks seem popular so there's a few about used-or of course the forum is a goldmine of willow for any brand!

Nothing to worry about all good bats are supposed to crack.

If it's one thing being on this forum has thought me, is that you always need a new bat....but in all honesty as others have said, it seems to be fine, no issues.
