Title: Pro bat Database - Let's get building
Post by: wayward_hayward on January 31, 2016, 09:27:54 PM
We all seem to be obsessed by the wide variety of bats that pro's use (or reject and happen to fall into our hands). I thought it would be good idea to start a thread where we can post the variety of pro bats we have owned, used or just photographed. Hopefully it might make it a bit easier to find a specific playets shape that you want copying.

I will start off with one.

Malik's bat, reviewed by Bindi in his kit bag video for IJC if anyone saw it.
Not massive edges of spine at just 37 and 66 MM. respectively but it was a big bat very similar in style to a trott bat from b3 with huge shoulders and toe. Very full and weighed 2:11 not that you would have know it on pick up. Lucky enough to have had a small hit with this as well thanks to Bindi.

Hmmm...just saw this. SM has used bats made by different bat makers. I have two of his bats and their origins are anyone's guess. BUT. Those bats are rockets! One is 2-11 and other is over 2-12. I think he has his bats stamped by CA but uses bats made by Stu Kranz and other bat makers.

That bat is a B3 and 1271 profile I was there when he came in with his own wood and had them made.

He does have his own stamp

only difference is the handle set to the 1271....
