Had my first proper net last night for about 3 or 4 years and I can feel it this morning!
A few things I noticed about how it went on my own game o need to iron out, such as I feel as though I feel as though I fall away upon delivery when bowling something I never normally feel also backing away a touch when batting which is a long term bad habit
Any ideas how to resolve these or is it just being rusty?
Also thank's to @uknsaunders and the rest for making me so welcome!

Sent you a pm with some more info about this club Alex. Good to meet you and I hope you enjoyed it despite the pain today!
All the guys mentioned how well you had done considering you hadn't played in a long time. I didn't see much wrong with your bowling.Apart from trying to stay legside of the ball with your batting you looked good, but that could just be a bit of rust. Give it a couple of weeks and we'll bring the camera down and get some video.

With the legside of the ball/backing away thing, I always find emphasising a back and across trigger movement helps.

Hi Alex,
Apologies from myself for not being there. As Club captain it's great to see the rest of the lads made you feel so welcome.
Cheers

small movement back and across Alex to help you get in line. You need to get close to the ball either to play it or watch it go by.
If are wary of the ball and keep your feet stationery they will drag back towards leg so little deliberate movement helps getting going, it doesn't need to be a big stride.
keep your eyes level

Yeah I'll try the trigger movement but reluctant to have anything drastic!!
@19reading87 that's ok! I'll see you next Tuesday!

You do need to address you bat issue Alex. I couldn't even see the edges on it :D
and as you rightly pointed out only having 1 bat is not on :o

Haha it's not that bad!! It seemed to go quite well when I connected anyway!
I'm saving for something new just don't know what yet!
