Title: Making pads wrap around your leg.
Post by: Contrails on February 04, 2016, 04:15:41 AM
G'day everyone,

I picked up some new Kookaburra Verve 1250 pads.  They are a little wide and flat for my liking.  I wish they would curve/wrap around my leg more.  So I have bent them in an arc and my empty bag is sitting on top of them for some time to hopefully make this a permanent fixture.

Have any of you tried this before? Any other tips or methods?

Do them up around your bat and leave them done up...

Sometimes the pads tend to very stiff, i usually tighten the strap such that the pads bend more than usual. Leave it in this position for a few days and check, it should be more flexible then.

Some of friends wear the pads such that the strap end up on the inner side of the leg. This allows them to tighten/bend the pads more than usual. It's a theory because for me if feels the same with strap inwards or outwards.

I got some new pads over the weekend, and found a similar issue. I followed the same process as sanredrose and this did the trick for me.
