Title: Spikes stuck in...
Post by: dannyhall04 on February 05, 2016, 10:54:10 PM
Got an old pair of adidas twenty2 yard lites and one of the studs has snapped off, leaving some remnants stuck in. Obviously the bit with the hole has snapped off - any tips to get the rest out?

Try soaking them in hot water first and then use some pliers on the bit that's left

Like your thinking, mate! I've got four pairs of adidas Howzat boots to try on. Wouldn't mind these as a decent back-up pair, or even try and flog 'em at my club

Drill a small diameter hole in the centre of the broken  stud  not to deep  and remove  stud using  a  screw extractor or you could gently prise out the  remnants bits via the drilled hole.

Anyone had any bright ideas for rusting spikes? Is there anything to spray them with that wouldnt be affected by the wet ground?

A set of circlip pliers would get it out no probs
