After seeing all the warbirds on here, decided to give it a try. Only thing i had asked for is 2.8 or under and minimal concaving in G1 or Pro.
Thanks Jake for arranging this.
Specs as per Jake -
1. Weight - little under 2.8
2. edges - 36-37
3. spine ~62mm
Would have liked little less scooping but i guess its not too bad.
Will post more once i get the bat. Thanks Jake for arranging this.

I wouldn't say that's a lot of scooping at all. Any less and you'd lose size if the weight was the same.

Happy day they are very good indeed mate I love mine and will be using all my h4l stuff this year Matt presses a mean bat that's for sure he is the ping King and when knocked in it will go like a train

Hard to get less "scooping" when asking for a bat that's 2.8 fully finished which as a 36-37mm edge at the same time. Somewhere along the line there has to be a compromise.
Looks another stunner from @hell4leather cricket 👍

Less scooping? The only way that could have less scooping would be if it was convex!
All these H4Ls are making me more and more hyped to go and see Matt next week! :D
-
I think i shouldnt have mentioned scooping :D Honestly not at all worried about it.

Looks a cracker! Can't go wrong with h4l

Ruler straight grainage!

Nice one.

Absolutely stonker. Trust me when I say this, the concaving does not affect performance at all. I'd argue it adds to the overall performance as it helps to aid the immaculate pick up that Warbirds offer. I have a G2, and I'm starting to wish I went for a higher grade now, as this G2 could easily be my match bat! (Saying something, as I have a selection of 60+)

The bad boy got delivered today. First thing i did was put it side by side with my SS. They both have very similar profile and pickup so quite happy. SS is little bigger and less concaved, SS weighs 2.9.1 and H4L at 2.8.4.
Ping - H4L sounds little different than SS, but pings great for a new bat.
I was little worried about the shorter blade, but as many have said, you hardly notice it.
Only thing I am not too happy about is the handle. Its little skinny and I guess that was done to keep the weight down. May replace the grip with a ripple grip.

lose the handle?

lose the handle?
Doing this would upset the balance though.

CA has been doing it for years except for the SM-18 bats which have the normal SH length blades.
