So had a net tonight, first official one I could attend.
We normally planet at dotball, but club nets are at a school, with an 8 year old mat and the bounce is never high tha your shins.
This was the result.
Bat 1, a 2 season old b3. Edge gone

Bat 3, my blank bats net bat.

I'd say the later two was through driving balls that never bounced, no idea why the edge went on first as not a sports direct ball in sight.
And people laugh at me for having 17teen bats.....

First one should be an easy glue, clamp, sand job

@smilley792 I hope they make a full and proper recovery!

That seems to be the default answer on here, what exactly would you be clamping though?
Surely injecting the damaged area with glue and, if anything, wrapping it tightly with parcel tape to pull everything back together would be more effective than clamping.

I might repair 1, 2 had enough use that I'm not fussed. And 3 is already being glued and will be fine for the next net.

Bat 2 may be able to be rescued. Post some more photos please

Instead of clamp try using cut up bat grips

I never take my nice bats to nets
