Went to my first net last night. I always keep my bat in the house, and before two children always kept the rest of my kit in the house. However, now my kit bag is relegated to living in the garage for the winter.
Went to put my trainers on, and discovered somethings had a nibble at the heal. Then checked my pads, and there was a hole in the front of one of them. Then my gloves, holes in the padding on four of the fingers of one hand. Looks like I've had a little friend take comfort in living in my bag for the winter.
Not a happy bunny. My own fault I know, but still gutted. And it gives me a chance to moan enough to justify buying some new kit !

Probably the most legitimate reason for new kit ive seen whilst on this forum too.

I might put some of my kit out in the garage, then I cant get moaned at for wanting new kit!! :D

Never happened to my cricket kit yet but I did get some new golf gear the once as some squirrels took a liking to the peanut m&ms I left in the bag

Left my kit in the garage with the bag unzipped once found a field mouse in there with its big eyes staring at me and an half eaten apple hadnt got the heart to kill it so emptied the bag in the field and watched the mouse run off.

The lengths cricketers will go too to justify updating their kit

New kit, result!
I'm just off to feed my kit to Mickey and Minnie out in the garage ;)

New kit! It's the only option and lot wroth worrying able out.
A rat infestation on the other hand, I'd be wanting to sort that out asap.

I didn't notice anything until I got to nets. The offender may be living in the car now, or if it's lucky relocated to Hove County Ground where it can gorge itself on allsorts of kit !

I beleive 'the boss' of the house is conducting an inspection today. I've not received any results yet, so fingers crossed it's ok.
