Title: Bat covers
Post by: Gurujames on February 15, 2016, 01:18:38 PM
Here are the covers I use

1. Woodworm flame cover £3 from thesportshq.com. I saw they now do a 'hard drive' one for £1.99 now which is identical except the colour and graphics. It is well padded and fits all my bats well. I have about half a dozen of these. Excellent value for money.
2. Hell 4 leather. Full length with Velcro flap. £15 from vitas. Well padded with a carry strap (not shown). Well padded and would fit a long handle.
3. Affinity. Identical to the h4l. Cost £15 or £20, can't remember as I bought it with my affinity so it didn't get damaged in transit.

I recently purchased a Kookaburra full length bat cover with Velcro strap from IJC. Does the job and was under £10

I got sent out a couple of the new bat covers Woodstock are running with and I must say I am very impressed. Certainly an improvement on last years ones, shall upload pictures later when I get in  :)

Bats covers, bat covers. I have a few(and many not pictured)

(http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h76/smilley792/20140914_184146_zpse1zc1gcj.jpg) (http://s61.photobucket.com/user/smilley792/media/20140914_184146_zpse1zc1gcj.jpg.html)

As you may guess I rate the bat covers from b3 highly. Hence having quite a few.

B3 highly recommended, bargain at 6quid, very padded. Nice design and zip. Only downside not full length.

Gunn and Moore,m(2 designs pictured) not as padded as the b3, but apart from that a good bat cover.

Wilkies custom padded soft pockets. Custom made for me with padding, a tad thick, and don't fit the larger bats. Protect okay.

Ca, full length and with a handle. About the only good point, is a lot larger than an actually bat so Baggie and is so thin offers no protection.

Laver and wood, looks pretty does sod all in terms of protection.

Kookaburra, same as the ca but made with a thicker material and fits the bats better, will offer marginally more protection.

Affinty/ sovereign. This are almost identical, same design same protection, same size. Nice carry handle.
Affinty is made with a smooth material, sovereign a textured material. Full length and top protection, these are the best I've owned.

Affinty sleeve, it's not a bad little sleeve, protects more than it looks it should, and fits the bats nicely and grips them so doesn't slide off.

As for the debate on what comes with a cover what does.

Affinty custom came with a sleeve and a full length, it shouldn't have but Marcus was generous as he had a long holiday just as inordered (which I was well aware of)

Laver and wood, got the soft pocket, might as well not have for protection but it's pretty.

Ca, both my 10000 and pollard Big Bang addition came with there tagged up covers, I nice touch but the material is so thin it's merely there as a carry handle.

And that's the lot, everyone else I've bought from, and I've bought lots haven't come with squat. B3 3 stripe, gunn and more ole, red ink X1, Aldred custom, gray nics kaboom Warner edition, h4l etc etc .

Have I minded? Not one Iota, there cheap enough to buy I've never had to whinge they should be included.

To note, nothing fits the kaboom Warner edition well, you have to force it in them.

It's a Wilkie custom padded soft pocket, both the red and the camo one are the same.

I like that laver one! Nice especially for free

Despite owning both, I personally feel that Stretton Fox one is simply astonishing. That cover is in different league altogether.
