So in preparation for my new bat arriving in trying to refurb my second bat to its best possible self. Been on all night but got it to look like this so far (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160219/1f783c23ae6924df9a21cf966b820bfd.jpg) is it best to just sand till all the colour is equal then wax or oil all over ? Cheers lads

How are you sanding it mate?
If you're doing it by hand it could take forever to get it to all one colour

Yeah by hand buddy. Been on since 6 so a good few hours on. Think it's starting to look a little better

Take it from someone who knows, puma stickers are an absolute nightmare. If you can sand it down to all the same colour then fair play, never could with my puma stick.

Sounds like you need to borrow an electric sander mate, makes it so much easier and quicker

Looks like I'll be making my way to the Chiefs (grandad) later on then.

Just take it easy with the heavier grade papers and work up to the fine grades to get a good finish.
It's worth reading some of the refurb threads on here first, I picked up some great tips from them.

Electric sander is definitely the way to go to get rid of the sticker shadows, will save you so much time and effort.

Oil and wax or 1 or the other ?

Think I'm done with it now. My grandad had loads of different grades so hopefully just a few coats of oil may help
