Title: Prepping for my new bat
Post by: Eliotroberts on February 19, 2016, 09:20:23 PM: So in preparation for my new bat arriving in trying to refurb my second bat to its best possible self. Been on all night but got it to look like this so far (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160219/1f783c23ae6924df9a21cf966b820bfd.jpg) is it best to just sand till all the colour is equal then wax or oil all over ? If you're doing it by hand it could take forever to get it to all one colour

Yeah by hand buddy. Been on since 6 so a good few hours on. Think it's starting to look a little better

Telling me. I've been on hours trying to sort it got somewhere whole bats a shade lighter st the minute will try sort the rest tomorrow

It's worth reading some of the refurb threads on here first, I picked up some great tips from them.

Think I'm done with it now. My grandad had loads of different grades so hopefully just a few coats of oil may help
