@pigeonman, I am using the BAS Players edition Pads and Sausage Gloves. Both are comfortable, but check in with seller before hand about the pads, I did notice they are little bit shorter than any regular pads (about 1 to 2 CM). Also with the gloves, I have huge fingers and these sausage gloves not long enough, so result of it is finger cramping after facing about 2 to 3 overs. Just check the measurements before buying in.

BAS Player edition softs had two size - men's and large men's. Men's size is basically the size of a small men's glove from GN while large men's is the size of regular men's size from GN. So you can see where I am going with this ... You can check with the seller if he has large men's size.

Thanks sanredrose,
from your advice asked the seller in India and he said there are 2 sizes and now he is shipping me the large men's size.

Sure Will do once I get it. I did see colored BAS (Navy Blue, Red) Player edition pads at crowncricketer.com. This is the place I bought my white BAS Players pads. I stay in USA, shipping is fast.

Hi sanredrose,

Before I get the Large Men's BAS Players, Here is the pic of the BAS softs I am going to use for this season. The pads are little bit shorter ones though. Took the pic before returning them.

Player's edition BAS cricket gloves are currently one of the best in Indian market. Many of my team mates swear by the quality of it. They are going to be my next pair of gloves. However the leather is bit thin at the palms and fit amazingly well. All the best with your new BAS player's edition softs.

Pranav Desai

The leather is a bit thin and you can see both why the players use them because you can really feel the bat close to your hands but there is a trade off they do not last very long.

Without doubt the best gloves i have ever used.

I agree, they are the best gloves out there in Market, I have Huge fingers, and unfortunately couldn't find my size with those gloves. they are all Regular/Small mens size sausage gloves which cramps my fingers after playing for few overs in them. If I can find my size those would be best bet in BAS.

Thanks sanredrose. I think its decent gear for the level of cricket we play here, you are being too generous to call to nice.

@sanredrose ,

Finally Larger BAS player edition pads arrived today. Dealer from Banglore shipped them on 16th and I received them today. check the pics below. Also ordered the moonwalkr thigh pad, was using GN combo thigh pad for 3 years and all the stitching near the velcro was coming out. Also asked him to throw couple of Grips, infact he  dropped about 6 different grips.

Tried the Moonwalkr and the Larger BAS Pads, Very comfortable. Will be using these in the first match this weekend.

Here you can see the difference between the sizes of the pads. When ordered the larger pais, the dealer asked how much longer  wanted the pads and I asked for 1 and Half inch to 2 inches. and the new pads are exactly 2 inches bigger than the other ones.

What is the measurement from the bottom of the pad to the knee roll? They look considerably smaller!

I've used BAS pads and gloves as my pain softs for the last few years and I think they were very good.

Solid set of softs and cant really go wrong with them.
