Evening,
My Macer arrived! I do know the lads at Macer but I paid full whack for this and I do love it! (Not used it at nets net)
The bat is the grade 1 but with codex stickers as it went with the colour scheme. I do have another new bat (BandS) that I can put up later.
First thoughts? I know grains etc may not be as some think but pickup is lovely!

Interesting profile that pal, nothing wrong with those grains!! How much was the full whack if you don't mind me asking?
-
300. Which I think is alright. I am naive to this though and went with them to be a supportive to the lads. Bag is really nice though. Happy as Larry to be honest.

Looks a decent price for all that gear

Spoke to Chardy a few weeks ago about the brand now that a few of them have purchased it, not seen any of the kit 1st hand yet tho
-
Quite a few at Stapleton have the kit, actually quite nice, he was doing pads gloves and bag rather cheap towards the end of last season.

That's the advice I offered, the real leap is when you have saturated your immediate surrounding of team mates at "mates rates" and what to grow beyond this as a bat & softs brand.

I suppose you get brand awareness, but the deal was good, for pads gloves and duffle it was £60.
-
Yeh it's a tricky one to balance as u want exposure but your mates typically expect a discount so you end up making less when flogging it to them.
Branching into the local leagues is the next obvious step but then you have to answer why people would buy a smaller brand over the well known names at a similar price point etc.

I got offered the old version of pads, gloves and bag at a similar (not quite as good) rate. After talking to Mike, they have changed the designs on the pads and bag. And bats are made in England not Pakistan now which was suggested before on the forum. I'm off for Annette today so time will tell.
