Title: Subtle Fox
Post by: liscon12 on February 28, 2016, 12:50:54 PM
So I took the plunge and ordered myself a custom Fox thighpad a couple of weeks ago. Communication with George was amazing and helped me with what I've got now. I had a simple idea with having the crests of my club on a white background and my nickname somewhere, I went with white as I wasn't sure if a bright colour would show through my whites. George als suggested getting a coloured lining and to put the name on the inside which I went for.

So I bent the pad into shape to suite me and it fits really well with the straps on and movement is minimal however I've not netted with these yet so will give an update later on. I have noticed that 4 weeks on from shaping them and not touching them since the pad has slightly closed up a little requiring a bit of bending to get it back into shape, has anyone else noticed this?

Overall was really happy with the process and even more so when Geroge turned around the product in less than 4 days from initial day of purchase! Loving your work George and you might be getting some more orders in the future.

I've found that with bend and shaping you get them near spot on, but not perfect.

Wearing them and netting they closed up slightly which made them perfect.

Not sure about running around, but stood there my outer thigh will sit perfectly without Straps and not move.

Now if George could reply to my emails I can sort my new set out.....

Mine stayed as a perfect fit up until the last game of the season, they needed re bending which is near on impossible during an innings.

foxy kindly kitted me out with the newer elastic straps the other week and they are very comfy and sit flatter than the previous version I had. Been using the thigh pads for 3/4 seasons now and don't regret selling my Remfrys for them at all.

Cheers, they're nothing too fancy or in your face as I just wanted a good thigh pad with a few custom touches.
