Title: Pitchvision
Post by: ProCricketer1982 on February 29, 2016, 05:35:48 PM
So,
I've just committed to buying two pitch vision systems for bowling. So, my questions are now.. Outside coaching courses do you guys think clubs are interested enough to hire this kit for their club training sessions ?

I know it is a little rude to ask, but how much do they cost? you can private message me if you would prefer.

I can only say no, as my club haven't ever even mentioned it.

But as there is no one near that supplies offers it and we all know how against travelling cricketers are. My point is invalid.

From a personal point, I wouldn't mind the odd net every now and again to be able to be analysed and then see if I'm changing anything etc at a later date.

I think it is an excellent facility to have especially when coaching youngsters.

Depends on the cost premium I would say, certainly nice to have it if the cost isn't increased too much

I'm being cheeky this summer, I've arranged with a load of clubs to run one of their training sessions using them. Thinking is:

A) raises their awareness of me
B) gets them interested in the technology
C) hopefully they'll see the benefit and hire it a few times
D) parents will see it and associate that with me and hopefully attend some jnr classes in the holidays starting this winter.

Add the merlyn that I've ordered for delivery in September and boom.. Fair few USP's on the competition :)

I spoke to one of their chaps at AllOutCricket Live. Looked an interesting bit of kit and I think portable version was around £3500.

Aye, not cheap. Non portable is cheaper but obviously lacks the ability to take to clubs etc which is a usp
