New Zealand's best captain and one of the best batsmen. I still remember his 1992 world cup innings - he was a class player.
RIP Martin Crowe

real shame, he battled cancer bravely

one of my favourite batsmen too, his batting masterclass DVD is one I go back to time and again

superbly stylish player and probably New Zealand's best ever batsman
RIP

Probably New Zealand's best  batsman also recall him being one of the first players to go onto the  test match pitch and use visualisation the day before the match

Had a few coaching sessions with him when I was 11. A fantastic cricketer and human being. RIP

Kiwi legend. Fearsome batsman. Watch him if you want to see how to play straight or through the covers. He had a fearsomely quick pull too. Great exponent of playing hard but fair. Bloody cancer.

Really upset by the passing of the great Martin Crowe. Masterful and elegant with the willow. Tactically brilliant as captain of the Black Caps. One of the all time greats and new Zealand's best ever batsman. T20 has Martin Crowe to thank for becoming mainstream as well. RIP Martin Crowe. Legend.

For me although I never saw him play.. His analysis and journalism was head and shoulders above any other cricket writer. He seemed to nearly always be the only honest voice out there.

Anyway, his final email is on cricinfo now if anyone is interested, alternatively go read shelvey, pringle and co and keep the love in going.
