Title: Coaching Videos
Post by: Colesy on December 29, 2009, 08:42:23 PM
This may seem like a long shot but I'm always looking for ways to improve my technique and especially the shots I'm not good at.

Does anyone have good videos on youtube that have either helped you or you have found beneficial?

Thanks is advance

Joe :)

Don't even waste your time watching coaching videos..

get yourself classes:

http://www.procricketcoachingacademy.com/

Get some one to ones, they are expensive... But definitely worth it.

I had about 19 one to one sessions in winter 2008 and early 2009.

After these, my average increased by 33 ! my saturday average is now 70 something !

It really helps !. I cannot stress enough how much professional lessons will improve you !

Its totally worth it !

Another good thing is: Get physically fit as well as training. I used to be about 6 foot 16 stone (a real fat fuc*er) ! After hitting the gym as well as training hard.. im now 6 foot 13 stone, a really big unit. I can know use any bat up to 2.14 with ease !.

With training, do you have a bowling machine at your club ? Friday evenings, its routine for me to go down with a friend and hit 300plus balls in the nets !

Our overseas pro wrote me up a training programme for a weekly basis.

i could send you it if you want ?

Looking at the site they don't do Gloucestershire anyway, I'm 6ft 1 and 10 stone but I'm 16 so not toooo bothered. I've used a 3lb bat for a few games with not much trouble either.

I have shop locally with indoor nets + Bola machine.

lol, I don't play youth cricket, not too big on T/20 so I prefer opening in a 40/45 over match :)

Ayrtek helmet's very good as are the bats and softs so well worth it mate :)
