Took a trip on Saturday to @Uzi Sports to pick up a set of kit for my girlfriend who's recently decided to take up cricket. Firstly, having a good chat with Asad and seeing the ridiculous quality and quantity of bats he has available was a serious pleasure. Managed to (just) resist the temptation to put a serious dent in my bank balance, but we did pick her out some good kit. Went through a variety of bats with her to 'meh' responses until I found this lurking, she picked it up and immediately went 'oooh yes I like that one!' Clearly I've been doing something right with her picking this out despite a complete lack of bat knowledge.

So, pictures. It's a lovely old Purist shape, Original grade, some kind of Michael Vaughan signature edition. Lovely forgiving full profile, big graping blemish in the middle off which the ball/mallet pings really nicely. Obviously picks up well as it's a 2lb4.5 Harrow. Thanks Asad, I'll definitely be returning for more bats for myself at some stage!

Ha no she's been training with OBW, same division I think so expect I'll be spending at least one Sunday afternoon spectating with beer in hand at your place! Got the balcony fixed yet?

Balcony ongoing saga, looking a bigger scheme refurb incorporating balcony fix as well now as part of it.

Love female cricketers, when ever i play against one....i fall in love, doesnt really matter what she looks like, she is instantly FIT for playing cricket!  :D
