Title: Chase 150 bat on AS Sports website
Post by: tommy2tink on January 02, 2010, 04:31:19 PM
Is this bat grade 1 or grade 2 English willow? One bit says,
"Grade 2 Willow at unbeatable Price" and another "Hand crafted from superior Grade 1 English willow"

The implication of the latter being that it's made from top end Grade 1 which is potentially quite different to a poor Grade 2 cleft.

Think its most likely bound to be Grade 2 as the 175 is Grade 1.

I was browsing the new site. I like it but I noticed that this error is back again.

Grade 2 Willow at unbeatable Price

Ready to Play.
Hand crafted from superior Grade 1 English willow.
Clear face with narrow grains.
Excellent balance and pickup.
Special cane handle.
Adult bats may be purchased with a choice of profile: CLASSIC, FINBACK, ORCA.
Wt. Range: 2.7 + .

Just thought I'd give you a heads up so that you can change it if you like.

I think that the whole description of the 150 is based on a very old grading system, they are more likely to be grade 3 these days.

Asad, sorry to be a bother. The issue of it saying both G2 and G1 willow is still there.
