Title: England vs South Africa 3rd Test
Post by: GJ on January 03, 2010, 11:19:20 AM
Well here we are again, England in a great position to skittle the Saffa's again!
Shame Swann couldnt get Smith earlier as they would of been in a right pickle then.

We where lucky to get smith early after the break. Swann really should of took that catch earlier but smith didnt add too many runs so its orite so far.

29 runs could decide this test...

Once again Daryl Harper proves he is the worst umpire in world cricket. Amal nicks off with bat away from everything but the ball and then AB gets a bigger nick and is still there. The ICC needs to get their heads out their arses and get hotspot and snick at all Test matches and stop doing half a job, it's their responsibility and not the home broadcaster. F*****g pencil pushers! JP out for a golden! Again!

Is a bit stupid how they havent got their act into gear and made sure we had hot-spot for the series...

there are only a few hot spot cameras in the world. its hardly the ICC's fact if all boards don't buy them.

The broadcaster is in financial trouble and thus could not afford it. The power of TMS!!!!!

So you can be given out in one country and not in another? It's like playing on a different wicket, when to use the referral for a nick and when not too!

Slightly worrying for tommorrow as Kallis looks in great form and is playing swann easily.
And they still have Morkel yet to bat.

England need to get rid of Kallis early tomorrow while he's still getting back in.

Agreed harry, don't think onions bowled aswell today tbh. Might have been a different story had swann pouched smith early on.

I thought Onions looked more dangerous than Broad who seems to struggle when things aren't going well and his head goes down a bit.

Will Anderson's first Golden Duck warrant Mongoose claiming it was all their work as they did with his first 6?

Does anyone know where Neil McKenzie is? i thought he looked good as an opener and complimented Smith quite well when they toured England a couple of years ago. He would be a better bet than Prince in his current form anyway!

Game in the balance now, if Bell and Collingwood can stay there until tea, and a bit after then we have a glimmer of a chance...
Would be nice to see Bell answer some criticism too.
As for McKenzie, no idea where he is. Surprised he isnt playing really, as he looked a great player for SA and an awesome combination for opening with Smith.

Have to disagree, TMS is an institution that should never be allowed to die - absolute quality

Some of the stories that are told are brilliant but for a commentary i dont enjoy it. I know there isnt much they can do about it but thats life!

its a very visual sport, having it described to you isnt as good as seeing it for yourself

It is not, but the commentary is far better than that of the TV as they have to paint a picture and keep talking, far more high brow than SKY.
