Annoying you cant lube up the inside of a grip and put it on your bat in the same manor you would put a rubber on your wood and get the same result, in terms of grip on the bat.

I think those funny shape "hold the bat better" grips (cant remember the name but Daniel Vettori endorsed them) were applied in a different way.
Because they were all knobbly and had to be lined up you couldn't use a cone, so I think you soaked them in warm water to make them more flexible then lubed the handle up,with PVA glue to slide it on. I'll see if I can find the video...

2mm bat grips. I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere about these

I know the grips you're talking about, not seen the video though

I don't understand this obsession with grips. How many styles of grips do people really need? Somebody please invent a decent toe guard!!!!

You know what, you probably can. When you regrip golf clubs, you have to use grip tape to wrap around the shaft then you pour over white spirit which acts as lubricant and you slide the grip on. The white spirit then evaporates leaving your club fully gripped. Only difference is you are pouring it on to metal and tape not cane and twine, but it might still work.

aren't these just going to look awful on a bat?

Think there about 20 years to late.
Remember the mid 90s when everything came see through? Games console controllers etc and the like, was all the rage. These days. Not so much.

yes indeed thinking about that youre right. It looked pants then too! :)
slightly off subject(sorry) but still on GRIPS there's a product called grip grip that stops the grips riding up the bat. I've used it it does work,i'm sure other on here have.
now that's a good invention for grips!!!

are you talking as in using gripgrip as a grip its self or just to hold the grip in place?

no sorry I didn't make my post clear. It's a tape called grip grip.... one part goes on the handle, one over the other grip(if you have two grips) and it stops the actual rubber grip riding up the handle.
Dunno about anyone else bit I find grips riding up the handle really really annoying, and it looks total village :)

Would be surprised if @FattusCattus wasn't behind this innovation.

Gripgrip is class, but wouldn't want to use it if I had a see through grip, that would look even more village!!

Even cheaper if you just buy self amalgamating tape too
