Title: Colly and his new BAS gear
Post by: liscon12 on April 20, 2016, 02:07:18 PM
Here's a pic of Colly showing us all his new BAS gear, seems like he is no longer taking Mike Ashley's money.

Always interesting to see a sheet of stickers included as part of a pro's gear

I thought that too!

How good would life be if a box containing all that lot turned up once a summer!

I assume its a case of "we've sent you 4 bats to use but if you need any more feel free to use other peoples bats but just make sure they're stickered up as BAS"

or they're used to re-sticker the bat if it has been repaired. Funny thing is that BAS have branded the edges of their bats with some sort branding iron, other manufactures won't be able to brand the edges like what BAS do.

I rate BAS as the best Asian brand I have used - every BAS bat I have used have been crazy so no excuse if Colly doesn't hit some serious runs!  ;)

Oh my days!

I was tempted to get a load of BAS gear already but that has most definitely made me want more kit!

If we ignore the fact your post is on topic.

What about you grays and then h4l full kit you've already has this winter?

That's clearly just his pre-season/Spring kit @smilley792 - Cam still needs to sort out his kit for June, July and August yet!

As you know one of the Gray bats died and the gloves started falling apart, so they were ditched in favour of H4L.

The H4L gears will be my main kit for the season.

Thinking about it I gave some blank OLS softs, I may get a BAS/TON/CA duffle bag, and use the blank softs with Asian made dlbats. I already have a nice CA Gold, if that doesn't sell I'll use that and a BAS with the blank softs for friendlies and T20 I think.

You're not far off what my kit usage was last season, actually  :D

Interesting pricing!!! £550 for the players bat and £106 for the gloves seems quite punchy!!!

And some thought that the stunning H4L Custom gloves were expensive at £80? They look like a bargain in comparison!!

What has happened to glove pricing in the last couple of years? they seem to be far outstripping anything else. I can(to a certain extent) understand bats going up in general but some softs are catching up.

Is that pricing not just a case of wanting people to go to retailers rather than deal direct?

Have a couple of pairs of NV Pro gloves plus some Salix Pod gloves otherwise I would be looking at the H4L Custom gloves, as they are stunning.
I net with Si sometimes and he wears these softs and always admire them a great deal!!!  :D

Now you know how I feel when you say great deal for 150 pounds, for me in US its about little over 320 including shipping and Paypal charges ;) ;)

Neverthless, Top gear from BAS, do have those pads and gloves bought them for about 80 dollars including shipping.

BAS is the most expensive among Indian brands. If I score decent runs this season I will def get a BAS or Aldred :)

By the way, if they stick to the prices that are mentioned on the website....They will go down faster than you would think...this coming from a BAS equipment user and a fan

Look like a decent deal aswell from there! What was the sizing like? Are the gloves similar to a small mens in say gray nics gm etc?

The white split finger gloves are the commander model, they are a lower end glove and you can pick them up for less than £30. As for the UK prices they seem a little on the shock tactic side. Not sure many retailers would look to stock them at those prices. I have to agree Bas gear is probably the best coming out of India.

Price is ridiculous ! I got a BAS Titus LE for 400 USD from Procricshop. Even with shipping from US to UK, you wouldn't exceed 450 USD !! 550 GBP is still way too far away !!

Sorry for replying late @wcc, Sizing for the 2 white gloves on the website are for big mens, but sausage gloves are for small men. If you need sausage in big mens size, then you need to ask the dealer to place a order with BAS and will take additional 2 weeks for it. I couldn't wait for 2 more weeks as I have my season starting, so bought the white ones. I have huge fingers, used SG and GN before as they were the only ones here in US had big sizes in gloves. And now the white ones are of same size compared to my previous gloves.
